fire house

             Hello, my name is Alex Weidner I started my English 101 class about two weeks ago, I also stared to volunteer work for the fire department. The fire department I am volunteering for is Camp Jackson down in Cahokia IL. My first meeting was last Monday, and I had my second meeting last night. I do not have the privilege to go on fire calls at this time, how the system works down there is the first you have to get voted in by the board, with is made up by a group of fire fighters. Then once you get voted in you are now on probation of one year, and the first month of that year you are on what they call probie time, which is when you don’t have any of your gear and or your pager and you just have to go to the all the meeting and just pay attention to what they are saying. Personally I think it is just of my safety and, I think that is what there in tensions is too. And on top of all that I just moved over to waterloo from where I was living witch was in Millstadt IL. I really don’t know any thing about waterloo right now because I just moved and what not, but I have a felling in just a few short months it will fell like have lived there for years.
